APH San Marino OC

This is my oc San Marino. I really need help showing her relationship with the Italy Brothers. So if anyone has any suggestions, advice, whatever, please critique!

San Marino is a microstate (not to be confused with micronation. Microstates like Monaco and Lichtenstein) enclaved within Italy near the Italian Peninsula. It is one of the last surviving sovereign state and constitutional republic in the world as the continuation of the monastic community founded on 3 September 301, by stonecutter Marinus of Abe. The country's economy mainly relies on finance, industry, services and tourism. It is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. San Marino is considered to have a highly stable economy, with one of the lowest unemployment rates, no national debt, and a budget surplus.

Appearance: Brown eyes, long dark brown hair, light tan skin

Personality: Nicola is an independent woman (due to the country asserting it's independence and refusal to unify with Italy and neutrality in history) and lives separate from the Italy brothers. She is mature, friendly, and admires the finer things in life. She is sometimes boastful and flaunts her wealth and her de facto independence (in moments like these she is constantly reminded that it's not a good look for her to be too prideful.) She sometimes scolds the young Italies and acts like a mother.

Favorite foods: piadina, a dish characteristic of the Italian region Romagna and of it's enclave of San Marino. Her favorite dessert is Torte Tre Monti, ("Cake of the Three Mountains" or "Cake of the Three Towers"), a wafer layered cake covered in chocolate which depicts the 3 towers of San Marino.

Romano and Veniciano [S.Italy & N. Italy]: After the fall of the Roman Empire, she took care of the Italies for some time until the unification process where she was granted separate independence 

Maintaining Independence through the years:  Wise leadership over centuries secured San Marino’s freedom. When Napoleon’s army approached emissaries were sent winning his favour and even receiving offers to enlarge the Republic. During Garibaldi’s campaign to create a united Italy, San Marino offered sanctuary to his followers which ensured they were not swallowed up into his new Kingdom of Italy in 1860. San Marino stayed neutral in WWI and tried hard to avoid WWII however the British violated their neutrality by bombing the republic in 1944 and in September Allied forces simply walked in, staying for two months.

WW1: During World War I, when Italy declared war on Austria-Hungary on 23 May 1915, San Marino remained neutral and Italy adopted a hostile view of Sammarinese neutrality, suspecting that San Marino could harbor Austrian spies who could be given access to its new radiotelegraph station. Italy tried to forcibly establish a detachment of Carabinieri in the Republic and then cut the Republic's telephone lines when it did not comply. Two groups of ten volunteers did, however, join Italian forces in the fighting on the Italian front, the first as combatants and the second as a Medical Corps operating a Red Cross field hospital. The existence of this hospital later caused Austria-Hungary to suspend diplomatic relations with San Marino.

WW2: San Marino was again neutral, but the New York Times had printed papers saying that it had declared war on the United Kingdom of England on Sept 17 1940.  The Sammarinese government later transmitted a message to the British government stating that they did not declare war on the United Kingdom.
